Diogo Azinheira, DVM

Veterinarian

Finished his Degree by the Lisbon Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in UTL in 2001. He performed his final internship in the Hospital Veterinário Dr. Marques de Almeida, Várzea de Sinta. Since then he started to practice small animal medicine and surgery.

He is one of the founders and the clinical director of Alma Veterinária Since 2005. He is responsible for the department of orthopedics and orthopedic surgery, the neurology department and Centro de Imagem Montenegro Alma Veterinária.

He has done several degrees and course in the areas of surgery, orthopedics, neurology and manegement. More specifically:

– Soft Tissue Surgery Post graduatiation in Universidade Lusófona 2009

– Management – PAGE, Universidade Católica, 2010

– Orthopedics and orthopedic surgery – Universidade complutense de Madrid 2013

– Neurology Post graduation by Improve International, 2015

– Orthopedics and neurology, advanced program in orthopedics and neurology by Improve International 2019

Joao Rei

João Reis, DVM

Veterinarian

Finished his Masters Degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2014 by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Universidade de Lisboa. At that same year he started working in Alma Veterinária

He finished his course in thoracic, abdominal and muscoskeletal surgery by novatech. He also did a post graduation in orthopedics I by ESAVS and he is currently doing the Surgery of Small Animals post graduation by Improve International

He has done a Post graduation in Clinical ethology of small animals by improve international, having the general practitioner certificate in clinical ethology by ESPVS since 2019

He has a special interest in the areas of traumatology, animal behavior and Imagiology

Ana Viana

Ana Viana, DVM

Veterinarian

 

Finished his Masters Degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2015 by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Universidade de Lisboa. She did her final internship in the Hospital Veterinário das Laranjeiras, starting her professional activity in the Hospital Veterinário Vasco da Gama and has been a part of the Alma Veterinária’s Team since July of 2015.

She has several degrees and courses in the ecography area, finishing the ecography I and II introduction courses by ESAVS and is currently doing the post graduation in internal medicine of small animals by Improve International

Her main areas of interest are Imagiology and Internal Medicine

Silvia Lourenço, DVM

Veterinarian

Silvia finished her degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2016 in Universidade de Lisboa and since then she has been part of the Alma Veterinária’s team

She has a special interest in the surgical and imagiology field, in which she has done courses and degrees in the CT Scan, ecography and soft tissue surgery.

Adérito Ortelá, EV

Veterinary Nurse

 

He has been a Veterinary Nurse since 2008, finishing his degree in Escola Superior Agrária de Bragança. He did his final internships in VetCenter and in the Real Hospital Veterinário, Braga, having also done extracurricular internships in VetFunchal.

He started his professional career in 2010 at the Hospital São Francisco de Assis in Malveira and in November of the same year he moved to the Alma Veterinária’s team

His Areas of interest are surgery, anaesthesia, orthopedics, functional rehabilitation and animal nutrition.

He has done several degrees in the Veterinary nursing area, standing out the Nurse Certificate in Practical Techniques, 2012, by Improve International, the Physiotherapy Nurse Certificate post graduation in the same year also by Improve International, the Neurofunctioanl rehab course in small animals in 2016 by CRAA and several other courses and degrees, both national and international in the Veterinary nursing area and animal welfare.
